Hello and Welcome to Mr. Stayton's "Practical Religion" Blog. You will have the opportunity to post comments at any time in reference to any question or comment. Some assignments for your class will be to post, react and assess topics on this site. Like in my class, be honest and open minded but also be kind and professional in the opinions you choose to share. I look forward to hearing from you.
Morality and values always play a big role in the decisions that I make on a day to day basis. If I didn't have my own set of values, and my own thoughts on what is right and wrong, then i wouldn't be able to honestly say that my decisions are my own and not based on what other people want me to do. If personal morals and values are absent then the only thoughts present when making critical decisions are those of someone other than you. And then what happens when that person who you count on to make decisions for you isn't there anymore? I'm not saying that it is bad to trust another person entirely and know that their decisions are in your best interest and that is why you listen to them. However I believe that the only person who is with you 100% of the time is yourself, so it is in really in your best interest to know yourself well enough and develop a set of morals for yourself so that you will never be stuck in a situation when you can't decide what to do.
