"I am authentically free when....."

86 comments:

  1. I am authentically free when I don't have to think about my choices. When practicing authentic freedom, the moral decision should come as second nature. When I find myself weighing out the postives and negatives of a situation, then I am not demonstratic authentic freedom. I know committing murder is a crime and I will never committ one no matter how upset or angry I am at a person. I make this choice sub-conciously and am authentically free.

  2. I am authentically free when my moral decision comes naturally; I don't have to think twice about the decision I'm making or about the consequences. Sticking up for what I believe in practices authentic freedom. If I don't want to drink at a party, I'm going to stick to my belief and not drink. My authentic freedom allows me to make the decisions I want without second guessing myself or my actions.

  3. I am authentically free when I do not have to put focus on a decision or the consequences they may bring, rather my choice is made easily and naturally. I am authentically free in situations I feel very strongly about where I have usually had the same opinion for most of my life, such as physical violence. I have been angry and upset with people but I have never had the urge to become physically violent toward them because I find this behavior unacceptable. Making the choice not to become abusive toward another person is not something that takes great effort on my part, rather something I am inclined not to do.

  4. I am authentically free when I do not have to think about the decision that I am going to make. It is when I do not have to think twice about what I am going to do when presented with several choices. I make the decision almost subconsciously without ever second guessing myself. When I am authentically free I am positive about the decision I am making and understand the consequences I will have to face after I make it.

  5. I am authentically free when I do not weigh the positive and negative consequences of my actions. Authentic freedom is a result of either values one has acquired from surroundings or strong convictions that are a part of who someone is. Authentic freedom is a reflection of who we are called to be and who we have become as a result of this calling. As each of us strives to reflect God through our own words and deeds we must pray for the courage to choose good over evil using our authentic freedom. For a kind person uses his or her authentic freedom to choose to do good deeds without expecting compensation. Our authentic freedom can be used to help each of us evaluate who we truly are in comparison to who we hope to become.

  6. I am authentically free when I could just perform actions freely without worrying about consequences and the results from my actions. It is important to trust in God that everything will be ok and he will guide you through the good and bad of life. It is also important to stick by your family and friends, the ones that love you and know you the most, and have their goodness shed a light upon you. That way your decisions will not just be about you but about doing good for others around you. You should be positive about the decisions you make, but with any doubt you know right away that the decision is not right. It is freeing knowing that you chose to trust in your heart and do the right thing.

  7. I am authentically free when i am able to choice the difference between right and wrong without worrying about the outcome of my choice. I am able to choose what i personally want to do without taking ideas from the people around me. My authentic freedom allows me to make the decisions I want without questioning myself or my actions. This characteristic will not only allow me to be more independent, but it will also allow me to think through everything, and give my personal opinion.

  8. I am authentically free when i am able to make my own decisions and choose between right and wrong. When i do not have to think about the pros and cons of situations i can just decide without worrying about an outcome. When sticking up for what i believe is right i am authentically free. Once i begin to questions myself about my decisions throughout my life i am not authentically free. Choosing choices without having to think about it is when I am authentically free.

  9. I am authentically free I choose my decisions freely. When you do not have to think about the consequences of your decision then you are authentically free. Sometimes it is easier to have some else make the decision for you because you do not want to get in trouble. Even though this might be better, you should choose freely because then you are able to learn from your mistakes. Freely choosing your own decisions even when it is hard makes you authentically free.

  10. I am authentically free when I make choices or decisions that are a reflection of who I am, and what I'm called to be today and in the future. Being authentically free requires stamina because finding authentic freedom takes a lot of time. Having authentic freedom moves away from the pressured feelings of fear and anxiety and towards a decision that stirs up an automatic answer. I'm authentically free if the decision is such a big part of my value system that I don't even have to think about the answer, I just spit it out.

  11. I am authentically free when the choices that I make come from within me and I don't have to decide whether I am making the right decision or not. Being able to practice authentic freedom means that the convictions I have about what choice I am going to make are embedded inside me. For example, I know that I would never steal or cheat because I was raised knowing that that is something that is fundamentaly wrong and something I would never do. If I have to think about whether or not the choice I am making is the right one, then I am no practicing authentic freedom.

  12. I am authentically free when I am not hesitant in the decision making process. In order to be considered authentically free, one must not second guess oneself when making a moral decision. For example, if someone were to offer me drugs I would easily say no without any hesitation. In this hypothetical situation my moral decision would have came naturally, making me authentically free.

  13. I am truly free when I am making my own decisions and have no limits or consequences. When I am authentically free I never second guess myself. I have made my decision in my mind and heart and no one can change this. This freedom emphasizes the person I am and the person God calls me to be. For example. A bully uses their freedom to be mean to other people because they can and that is the person they decided to be. As a nice person uses their freedom for the good of other people.

  14. I am authentically free when I can make a decision and not need to think about anything else. I can make my decision and the consequences of it won't even cross my mind. I am authentically free when I know the decision I am about to make is going to be the right decision for me and that I'm not going to regret it in the end.

    ReplyDelete
  15. I am authentically free when I am not forced to over think a decision before I do in fact make one. I am authentically free when i am aware that, instead of thinking about the consequences of a situation, I am able to act without timidness. I am authentically free when I acknowledge the fact that I am subconsciously aware of the right path to take, and therefore do not have to dwell on the right choices to make.

  16. I am authentically free when I have no stresses or pressure- when I have nothing to worry about and no one to please- when I don't have to think about hard decisions and when I am at peace with myself.

  17. Authentic freedom is self- realization; the freedom of knowing who we are, why we are here, and our purpose in life. I am authentically free when I am able to make my own decisions and nobody can do anything to change it. I am able to distinguish between right and wrong and come to my own conclusions without worrying about the consequences. When I am authentically free I live by my values and life laws. The choices I make, as a result of my authentic freedom, reflect who I am as a person and who i am called to be. When presented with a decision, I am able to make choices on my own with no one else’s opinions weighing down on me.

  19. I am authentically free when I am faced with decisions or choices and act upon them in whichever way I choose without second guessing myself. I am old enough to distinguish what is right from wrong and assume the appropriate consequences for each of my choices. For an example: If someone pressured me to steal something from a store, my immediate response would be a firm "No" because I was raised knowing that stealing is a sin and will result in bad consequences. One's authentic freedom is accumulated from their values, meaning what he or she finds unacceptable to do and how easily completing a good deed is for him or her. My authentic freedom is still maturing and progressing everyday, but currently I am comfortable and familiar with what is truly important to me today and the values that I consider essential.

  20. I am authentically free when I have the ability to make my own choices and decision based on my past experiences, values, and morals. However, although I am technically free, my freedom is limited due to my age. The reason for this limitation is because I may not necessarily have the right amount of support and experience to make life changing decisions. So in other words, as free as I am, I still have my limitations. But at the end of the day, because of my authentic freedom, I have the ability to make choices and decisions that make me the woman God calls me to be.

  21. I am authentically free when I am offered drugs. I don't even have to think about it, my automatic reaction to drugs is no. Something in my head just tells me its wrong and I don't have to think twice about it. My conscience always leads me to the right decision especially when it comes to drugs.

  22. I am authentically free when I get in my car and put my seatbelt on and put my phone in the back seat so I don't get distracted. I don't even have to think about it, it is automatic because I know the consequences of these distractions and not taking the safety precautions and I would never think about risking my life for such petty reasons.

  23. I am authentically free when I make decisions that no one else has influenced and that I don't have to debate in my head. With all the influences in my life it is hard to be authentically free but my morality keeps me morally free when I get in the car and put my seatbelt on no matter where I'm sitting, it has just become second nature to me and the fact that a majority of my friends don't wear seatbelts doesn't even phase me. Another decision is smoking. This is more of a life altering decision. I know I will never smoke and this life law makes me authentically free if I am in a situation where people may be smoking, because I know I will be able to say no without any problems.

  25. I am authentically free when it comes to smoking. I know that if offered, I would never even consider accepting. There would be no effort or struggle in saying no. It has become a conviction and self-law as I have watched too many people in my life suffer the repercussions of smoking. I wouldn't choose to say no, rather it would come automatically, without thought. This is what it means to be truly free, as I am completely knowledgeable and the subject, and the decision requires no struggle. There are many things that might tempt me away from what I consciously know what's right, but smoking is not one of them.

  27. I am authentically free when I've already made up my mind about anything and my decision in any given situation is automatic. As other people have mentioned, smoking, or just drugs in general, are something I've already decided are not for me. I have chosen to remain ignorant about drugs just as an unprecedented personal choice, but I refuse to smoke because my father smoked his whole life and I can see its terrible effects happening right in front of me. Besides inducing breathing problems characterized by coughing a lot, I can't stand how sad my mom looks every time my dad takes out a cigarette and I promised myself I would never do that to somebody I love. Something that is ALMOST an authentic freedom for me is making healthy choices when it comes to food and exercise. Though I doubt I'll ever be able to just automatically pass up dessert or just wanting to sit around and be lazy, I'm working towards improving every day so I can have healthy habits and one day, if I'm lucky, maybe pass those habits onto my children.

  29. I am authentically free when I do not have to think twice about the results and consequences of my actions. In addition, I am authentically free when I am able to make a decision automatically and instantaneously. I am authentically free when it comes to drugs. Throughout my life, I have been taught by my parents and relatives that taking drugs is an action that must be avoided. Therefore, refusing to take them is a decision that I don't have to think twice about. I also display authentic freedom when I am driving a car. I never think about wearing a seatbelt or not using a cell phone, for these are actions that come natural to me. Therefore, I am authentically free when the decisions I make and the actions I perform reflect my values and the person that God has called me to be.

  30. I am authentically free when I have my own opinion, when I consider that opinion, and when a perform actions based on my opinion without any hesitation or altercations. My values make up who I am, which influence the decisions and morals i believe in. Being able to perform actions based on values, requires myself to be authentically free.

  31. I am authenticly free most of the time. Everyone in highschool is faced with decisions every weekend at every party. You eventually formulate a response that becomes automatic. I know what i like and what i don't. You have to come to terms with yourself and understand your own boundaries before putting yourself in these situations.

  32. I am authentically free when i am true to myself. I am able to make a decision freely based off of what i believe and my values. These actions that I perform are always authentically free when I am staying true to myself and not caring what other people are doing. I have to understand where my boundaries are with trying to reflect my values as well as possible. Its simply the fact that I do what I believe in.

  33. I am authentically free when I do not have to sit and seriously contemplate the decision I wish to make. The decision is almost second nature to me. I act freely on what I believe in. I personally am authentically free in regards to smoking and drug use. I do not have to think twice about my decision to not drink or smoke.

  35. I'm authentically free when I don't need to contemplate a situation. If I'm put into a situation, and can automatically answer yes or no, I am authentically free. I think that being authentically free is also having the education/knowledge to know what's right and what's wrong, and being able to make a decision instantaneously based on that information. For example, my parents and family members have always told me that I shouldn't drink underage, or do drugs, since both are illegal. Since I've been taught both of these things from a young age, I would immediately decline in a situation involving one or both. If I had to seriously think about whether or not I wanted to drink, then it would no longer be an authentically free decision.

  36. I am authentically free when the decision I make come naturally. I am not influenced by the world around me or anything in society. The decisions i make are freely my own. 37. I am authentically free when my decisions are made without having to think about it. There are no influences on my decision whatsoever. Authentic freedom is my ability to decide for myself without second guessing myself. For example, i would automatically choose to not punch someone in the face for no reason. I have to free will to do so, but my choice, through my authentic freedom, is to not physically hurt someone.

  38. I am authentically free when I do not hesitate or waver on my decision. I am specifically authentically free when it comes to drugs. I know if I were to be offered any, I would decline immediately. I would not hesitate on my decision. My choice to abstain is free from ignorance, fear, stress, or sociological factors. I abstain not because it is the right thing to do but that it’s not who I am. I also abstain from drugs because it goes against my values of teamwork, honesty, and being healthy. I choose to abstain for me, my family, and my teammates.

  39. I am authentically free when I am faced with a decision where I act on impulse and choose actions which are basically second nature to me. When choosing an action in this way one does not have to think of the consequences one might encounter. In situations where I choose to be authentically free I do not second guess myself for I know exactly what I believe regarding the situation and nothing can change that.

  40. I am authentically free when I do not have to second guess myself or rethink my actions. The answer to my choices regarding authentic freedom have a clear answer instantly because there is no time to be influenced by any other opinions. For example, if I was offered a cigarette, my immediate answer would be, "no" because it is the first thing that comes to mind without question. It is a freely chosen response that goes hand and hand with the importance for me to stay healthy.

  41. I am authentically free when I can live my life and make decisions free from worrying about the repercussions of my actions because I will know that the choice is clear and the answer will come easily. For example, if someone were to offer me one million dollars in return for murdering someone, I would know easily and clearly that the answer would be not to kill the person. I would make this choice not because I am afraid of going to jail or because I am afraid of what people would think or any other outside factors, but because I know it to be the right choice without any hesitation.

  46. I am authentically free when my action or choice comes from within me without having to contemplate my decision because I know it coincides with my values and character. If offered drugs or a cigarette, my response would automatically be no. My authentic freedom is influenced by the morals instilled in me as a child and by my knowledge of the consequences that some negative actions can result in. There is no good that can be derived from activities such as using drugs, smoking, inflicting harm on someone, or murdering. Therefore, it is easy for me to refuse doing them and I do not need to think twice about it. Authentic freedom comes naturally from within you when you are strong in your decision even if everyone around you chooses to do the opposite.

  47. I am authentically free when i do not have to think twice about my decision, but it comes naturally. Having authentic freedom includes having the sense of who we are called to be and what we are called to do. This includes having the stamina and skills to know what is right and wrong for yourself. When faced with a decision, authentic freedom allows yourself to know your consequences and automatically know your decision. When authentically free, one has the ability to have a quick, chosen response in making a decision.

  48. I am authentically free when i make a choice automatically or subconsciously without having to weigh out the consequences of each choice. Basically, being authentically free is not even having to make a choice at all because the choice is made automatically, without any thought whatsoever. I am authentically free when it comes to smoking a cigarette. I've always had no interest in even trying it. If someone were to ever come up to me and ask me if i would like to take a puff, i would answer with "no" in less than a split second. In that situation no thinking was involved because being authentically free is having an immediate, thoughtless reaction to something.

  52. I am authentically free when I can make decisions quickly and easily, without considering or thinking about it. Authentic freedoms are focused on personal values, who one wants to be, and who one wants to become. When I am authentically free, I know my values without even thinking about them. I can only be authentically free if I have considered the alternatives and consequences of my choice, and when I am not making my choices out of fear. Once there are no psychological factors affecting my decisions, such as physical or mental problems, and there is no consideration of the social aspects, or internal feelings about my decisions, then I am authentically free. Sometimes, you have to develop authentic freedom over time- you have to pretend until it becomes authentically free.

  53. I am authentically free when I can make a good decision with out thinking about it. The decisions I make come from my own personal values and beliefs and if I am really authentically free then no one else's, but my own beliefs will affect the decisions I make in life. Through authentic freedom I can understand what my core beliefs are and what I believe are the right decisions from my life to turn out the way I want it to.

  54. I am authentically free when my decisions are second nature for me. When I do things without thinking twice, or looking back, I know that I am being authentically free. Having freedom and being authentically free are two different things. For example, if I were to go to a party, where people we’re drinking “apple juice,” I could easily drink “apple juice” myself. I have the freedom to do so. However because of my morals and my dislike of “apple juice,” I am able to pass on the “juice” without thinking, because it doesn’t appeal to me. The things I do that are authentically free are things I do for myself, in which no one, or thing factors into other than me.

  58. I am authentically free when I make a decision based on what I actually think about the situation, not what outside factors tell me to think. Authentic freedom is when I can live out my values in a way that would resemble making a decision in one of those science vacuums: no dust particles of pressures to get in the way. It would be a simple decision because I have my convictions and know what I believe in. Authentic freedom is being me and being who I want to be in the purest way possible. 60. When I have to ability to make a decision without having a single doubt in my mind, I possess authentic freedom. Personally, I am authentically free when I say no to smoking cigarettes. From a young age I began the habit of holding my breath after walking through someone's cigarette smoke or even fake coughing to get the smoker's attention that what they were doing was affecting me. I still have not been able to understand how anyone could pick up a cigarette without thinking how gross and disgusting it actually was. If offered a cigarette, my authentic freedom allows me to say no without any hesitations. I stand behind my decision to not smoke cigarettes and I am not afraid to express that to others.

  70. I am authentically free when I am bale to make my own choices, and take the blame for my mistakes if my choices are bad. Being authentically free is when you are so confident in a decision that answering it, doesn't even have "no" as an answer. When I follow my morals and make decisions at the same time, I am authentically free.

  71. i am authentically free when i make decisions based on what i think is the "right" thing to do. By listening and doing what i feel is right to other people i am living my life out the way i believe is correct. Other people may be followers which is fine if thats what your into but i always believed being a leader was the way to go. An example of being authentically free is if i decided to go jump out of a plane, i am doing this action because i want to,is there consequences of course but i am willing to do it because this is what i want to do, no one else.

  72. I am authentically free when i can determine what is right from wrong, and make my own decisions based on my morals. When i can take ownership of these decisions is what authenticity is all about. I base my decisions on my morals, therefore making me authentically free

  73. I am authentically free when I am 100% confident in my decision and do not hesitate to make that decision. Authentic freedom is making decisions based on values and morals. If I can make a decision that I am confident in and stand up for what I believe, I am authentically free. When I am faced with a decision and I hands down know what the right choice is, I am practicing my authentic freedom.

  74. I am m authentically free when moral decisions come naturally. When this freedom is acquired, we no longer have to TRY to avoid doing something that we know is not right, we just don't want to do it. We no longer weigh the positive side of the situation to the negative sides of the situation, nor do we have this freedom when looking to avoid the consequences of each action we make. These decisions made with authentic freedom come without hesitation and thought. This decision should reflect the values and morals we live each day with, who we are, and who we want to be.

  75. I am authentically free when I stand up for what I believe in, and in making my moral decisions take my beliefs into consideration. No matter what society tells me, what my peers tell me, what my parents and teachers tell me, I should ultimately do what I believe is the right thing to do. Mostly, my authentic freedom is similar to most other people's. But views can become distorted when we are influenced by outside sources such as money and become corrupted. In this way we affect those around us and their moral decision making,so not only are we affecting our authentic freedom but also the people we inspire. We should always follow our own authentic freedom, because if we are not true to ourselves we will not be who we are called to be.

  76. I am authentically free when I make decisions without worrying about the outcome or consequences of my choice, and when I am not influenced by outside sources. By sticking to my morals and values, I will be authentically free.

  77. I am authentically free when I don't have to think about a decision before making it. If I were to ponder on what my consequences are and other outcomes of that decision, I would not be authentically free. Making decisions through conviction are the best decisions that I make when I am authentically free. I think these decisions are also better in the end because we don't have to worry about the various outcomes and we make them quickly.

  78. I am authentically free when my decision's come naturally to me. When I am making decision's that are authentically free I don't hesitate to respond. My choice is clear and I don't regret or think twice about my decision. It is hard to be authentically free in our society today due to peer pressure but, to be authentically free in your decisions is something to appreciate because you able to think freely and be happy about your choice.

  79. I am authentically free when I am not pressured to pick a certain decision. When I can sit to myself and think about what choice I want to make, then allowing others to give me advice but not essentially choosing things which I have a right to choose

  80. I am authentically free when I don't have to decide to do the right thing. It's not even a question -- I just do it. For example, I choose not to drink. If a friend offered me a drink, I would have no problem saying "no." It's just not something I do.

  81. I am authentically free when..I have the power to say NO. Smoking is something that I'm not into and if my friend asks me to do it I simply don't have to think about it and I just say no. And it's not something I have a problem with because I stick to my beliefs and don't care what people think.

  82. I am authentically free when I know what the right decision is without having to think about it twice. Having freedom does not mean doing whatever you want. Authentic freedom knows the answer without having help from others or without being pressured. For example, if a friend were to ask me to do drugs, I would automatically say no because I would never try it.

  83. I am authentically free when I don't have to think about my decision, I just make it because I know what is morally right. If asked to kill someone I would automatically say no because it's the right thing to do. I don't need to wonder because I have a respect for human life. No thought needed!

  85. I am authentically free when I am faced with a moral decision and am able to decide on the issue naturally and without a second doubt. When I am able to decide this way, I know that I am authentically free because I am respecting my values and sticking to what I feel strongly about without any temptation to do the opposite.
